NEET UG Counselling 2023: The NMC NEET UG cut-off date for conducting UG MBBS counselling was announced on July 27. While announcing it, the commission said that any admission or counselling after the cut-off date is in violation of the NMC notice.
NEET UG Counselling 2023: The National Medical Commission (NMC) has announced that the undergraduate medical students admitted in medical colleges after September 30 will be considered invalid and will be discharged.
An NMC statement dated October 19 said: “Stakeholders, including central authorities, state authorities and medical colleges are directed to strictly adhere to the counselling schedule set by the National Medical Commission for the academic session 2023-24 for UG MBBS courses.”
“Any counselling carried out by the mentioned authorities beyond the prescribed schedule will be deemed invalid. Students admitted through such counselling will be discharged immediately,” it added.
The decision to nullify such admission has come after NMC found that the UG MBBS counselling both in online and offline medium are held in states including Bihar, Maharashtra and West Bengal beyond the NEET UG 2023 counselling cut-off date. NMC had set the NEET UG 2023 cut-off date as September 30.
