ABOUT NEET

NEET (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test) is a national-level medical entrance exam conducted in India for students who wish to pursue MBBS, BDS, and other medical courses. It is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA).

The NEET exam is held once a year and consists of 180 multiple-choice questions that need to be answered within 3 hours. The questions are based on subjects like Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (Botany and Zoology) and are set in English, Hindi along with 11 other languages. Candidates can select the language of their preference while filling the application form.

NEET has become one of the most popular entrance exams in India, with lakhs of students appearing for the exam each year. It is the sole medical entrance exam that provides admission to medical and dental courses in government and private medical colleges across the country.

To be eligible for the NEET exam, candidates must have completed their 10+2 education with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English as core subjects. The minimum age limit for appearing in NEET is 17 years as on December 31 of the year of admission.

NEET has a vast syllabus, and candidates need to prepare thoroughly to crack the exam. They must focus on strengthening their concepts and fundamentals and practice extensively through previous year papers, mock tests, and sample papers. Regular practice can help students build confidence and time-management skills, which are crucial for success in the NEET exam.

The NEET exam is highly competitive, and only a limited number of seats are available for admission. The counseling process for NEET is conducted by the Medical Counseling Committee (MCC), which conducts online counseling for 15% All India Quota seats and provides the list of candidates to respective state counseling authorities for rest of 75% State quota seats.

In conclusion, NEET is a highly competitive exam that requires dedicated preparation and hard work. With the right approach, focus, and practice, aspirants can crack the exam and fulfill their dream of pursuing a career in the medical field.
